About Us

With a history dating back to 1919 as a long established and primary supply chain partner in the Forest Products industry in the UK, Great Britain has relied on companies such as ours for the bulk importation of forest products from around the world for well over a century. The function of sourcing the right product and supplier, negotiating, buying in bulk and breaking that volume into manageable sized delivery loads for British merchants and high volume industrial users of timber products has been our sole business focus.

We are of the opinion that over the years we have become quite good at this and pride ourselves on our ability to read the global market trends to try to maintain predictable pricing; share our in depth product knowledge, provide the multi product service offering we can now offer to our many customers so that they can buy nationally what they need, when they need it, and in the volume that suits them.

Whether they are with our many overseas supply channel partners with whom we have developed long and trusting relationships to ensure the product is consistent in quality and in continuous supply or with our valued customers in the UK who trust the product we supply and the commitments we give to delivery; these relationships are what our business is built on. It is as simple as that.

Timber is a precious commodity and we feel that the wood products industry is comprised of people who are passionate about wood. We are constantly amazed and intrigued as to the new structural innovations and enhancements that are being made to enable wood to perform better, last longer and span further. No matter what the technology, at the heart of this lies our responsibility to ensure that forest products are used wisely, that forests are managed sustainably and that we set an example to the industry for guidance and exemplary sustainable sourcing and to this end we are Chain of Custody Certified and audited every year under the guidelines of the FSC and PEFC
