MDF

At MBM we stock a range of MDF products manufactured by Norbord. These included standard MDF, moisture resistant (MR) MDF in sizes ranging from 6mm to 25 mm. We are able to offer direct from factory deliveries for half or full loads of product.

Caberwood MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) is widely used throughout the UK construction and furniture industries. Its precision machining and finishing qualities make it the board of choice for the carpenter and manufacturer alike. Caberwood MDF is designed to exacting tolerances. So, rest assured - the product you’re using is engineered to perform. The smooth surface facilitates the demanding finishing techniques of painting, lacquering and the application of melamine, laminate & wood veneers.

The world's first MDF

Norbord was the world’s first manufacturer of MDF. We began this pioneering development back in 1966 at our facility in Deposit, New York State. Later in 1979, our Cowie facility in Stirlingshire was the first mill to produce MDF in the UK. Today, Caberwood MDF realises the growing concern for renewable sources of timber and as such Caberwood MDF comes with a guaranteed minimum 70% FSC content.
