Kronoply OSB is made using only debarked pine which is obtained from the ecological thinning of large indigenous forests. The veneer strands in are up to 160mm long to guarantee high levels of strength and stability. These strands are laid in three cross-directional layers and bound together using environmentally friendly water-resistant liquid binder. This technique allows for boards to be produced at thicknesses between 8mm up to 40mm. Kronoply OSB/3 is a panel made from pine strips of veneer (strands) that are 120 mm long, laid in 3 layers crosswise. This guarantees a very high dimensional stability and high mechanical properties. The values for the Kronoply OSB/3 panel lie far below the requirements made in the E1-Guidelines for formaldehyde emission.
The Kronoply OSB/3 panel can be used everywhere where high requirements are placed on statics and physics relating to construction. The construction supervision approval for panel thicknesses from 8 - 25 mm means that Kronoply OSB/3 panels can be used for reinforcing internal and external walls as well as ceilings or roofs. |
