MDF Products
Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) is a well established product in the construction and furniture industries. MDF is a manufactured panel product formed by reducing hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres. It is combined with wax and resin under heat and pressure to form a solid wood panel that is structural but denser than plywood or other particle boards. A MDF's precision machining and finishing properties make it a preferable product in UK manufacturing.
MDF is manufactured to specific tolerances, making it a diverse product that can be engineered to a certain performance level. Its smooth face surface accommodates the finishing skills of painting, lacquering as well as the application of melamine, laminate & wood veneers.
Standard MDF
A versatile product with high bond strength and superior surface properties. Appropriate for holding screws and fasteners, works well for all types of machining and surface finishing.
Light & Ultra-light MDF
A lower density board than standard grade MDF. Light MDF is up to 20% lighter than standard Grade and Ultra-Light 31% lighter. This product opens up new possibilities is design, as well use in applications where weight is an important factor of design. It also serves to increase life of tools and equipment.
Moisture Resistant MDF
Designed for interior applications that expose the board to humidity or occasional wetting. This product ensures the board's stability whilst maintaining the same characteristics of Standard Grade MDF. A product widely used in kitchens and bathrooms, as well as window sills, skirting boards and door architraves.
